The wines of Tenute Masso Antico are the perfect expression of scents and flavours of Salento (Apulia). Red, white and organic wines of this range follow the ancient tradition of Apulian winemaking which involves the technique of vitis bracchiata sine adminiculo - known as Alberello Pugliese.  This technique allows a very limited production per vine but of excellent quality which are dried in the vineyard and matured slowly in barrels. It is our winemakers who make Tenute Masso Antico the ultimate expression of Apulian wine tradition. Tenute Masso Antico produces contemporary wines, echoes the voices of those who cultivated the Salento land before us. It is the story that lives in the roots of our vines and the hands of those who farm them every day.

The Sicilian viticulture is unique in the world: diversified territories on the slopes of the mountains or near the sea, with vineyards located either few meters from the shoreline or at the bottom of a volcano. The Gergenti selection offers five wines. A white one and a red one are made from noble local grapes, Grillo for the white wine and Nero d’Avola for the red one, blended with international varieties. The other red is a blend of Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese and Frappato, obtained after a long maturation in the vineyard. Completing the selection, two wines made by organically grown grapes: Frappato, a red wine, which embodies the unique charm of Sicily, and a light straw-yellow Grillo, fruity scents and light notes of Sicilian citrus.
