Schenk Italian Wineries will be a partner during the 2019/2020 symphonic season of the Haydn Orchestra, which this year celebrates its 60th anniversary.
The events on October 15th in Bolzano and on October 6th in Trento will be opening the extensive program under the guidance of Director Arvo Volmer, with the cello Concert and orchestra n.2 by Antonin Drovrfoiegt nd the Symphony n.2 by Johannes Brahms.
Among important returns and new collaborations, four unpublished works commissioned for the “Haydn 60 Years and More” project will be presented: Sinfonia après Haydn by Mauro Cardi, Infinito by Arturo Fuentes, Background Check by Fabio Cifariello Ciardi and The Offline Side by Andrea Mattevi.
Many great authors will be represented: Haydn, Gluck, Mozart, Rossini, Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Schumann and Wagner with particular attention to Ludwig van Beethoven, that in 2020 will be 250 years old.
Michele Mariotti, Ottavio Dantone, John Axelrod, Marco Angius and Hansjörg Albrecht will return as Directors, while Timothy Redmond, Felix Bener and Ariel Zuckermann will take the podium of Haydn for the first time. Among the soloists Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Alexey Stadler and Boris Brovtsyn, together with new collaborations with Kristóf Baráti (violin) and Varvara Nepomnyashchaya (pianoforte), the famous duo Francesco Dillon (cello) and Emanuele Torquati (piano) and the violinist Ste Fano Ferrario, soloist of the Haydn Orchestra.
On October 22nd, Bacio della Luna Winery of the Schenk Italian Wineries group will fly to the capital with its Spumante Brut to participate at the Gala Evening “The Best Gambero Rosso Sparkling Wines”, organized by Gambero Rosso and “The Gentleman “ Magazine.
From 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm at Palazzo Fiano, the guests will have the opportunity to taste some of the best sparkling wines of this beautiful country, belonging to 30 Italian Wineries Awarded by the Italian Wine Guide 2019. The event, which is aimed at an audience that loves luxury and wellness, is part of a series of events that involve the streets of the Roman Trident and unites the world of fashion and art with that of wine.
Schenk Italian Wineries returns to Japan for the event “BORSA DEI VINI 2019”. The group will be present on October 15th in Kyoto (Ana Crown Plaza) and on October 17th in Tokyo (The Strings Omotesando), with its cellars Bacio della Luna, Lunadoro and Cantine di Ora, its area brands Casali del Barone and Gergenti and its brands Amicone, Masso Antico and Brunilde di Menzione. The event, organized by the ICE agency, ended the 2018 edition with 120 member companies, over 500 labels from 17 Italian regions and with the overall participation of over 3,500 commercial operators, journalists and opinion leaders. Each participating company will have an equipped location for the wine tasting. In fact, the format provides the realization of workshops / tastings dedicated to specialized operators in the sector such as importers, distributors, restaurateurs, journalists, wine lovers with the aim of establishing new relationships and consolidating their contacts.
From September 23rd to October 11th, Lunadoro opens its doors to all wine lovers to get into the heart of the grape harvest and introduce its red nobles. Two formulas to choose from: “Grape Harvest Tasting” and “Harvest Lunch”: both include a guided tour in the vineyard with demonstration of cutting and harvesting of grapes, visit of the winery, explanation of the fermentation process and vinification and tasting of three wines. In addition, lunch will offer a selection of Tuscan cured meats, cheeses, fruit, vegetables and some focaccia.
